Dr. Thomas M. Weil brings decades of expertise and a genuine commitment to excellence in oral and maxillofacial surgery to Katy/Cypress. Board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since 1973, Dr. Weil has been providing exceptional care to patients for more than five decades.
Dr. Weil earned his dental degree from the Baylor University College of Dentistry and completed an internship at the United States Air Force Hospital at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois (1965–1966). He went on to complete his residency at the Ochsner Foundation Hospital and Clinic in New Orleans. Throughout his career, he has honed his skills while also serving in influential leadership roles within local and national professional organizations. His distinguished service includes past presidencies of the Texas, Houston, and Southwest Societies for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Today, Dr. Weil remains highly respected in numerous professional circles. He has served as an examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and continues to be an active Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Weil is deeply engaged in advancing the field through research, education, and lecturing. He has presented extensively on topics such as dentoalveolar surgery, dental and maxillofacial implants, orthognathic surgery, and the evaluation and management of facial pain.
His commitment to education extends to the classroom as well, having served as a Professor at The University of Texas Health Science Center, Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston.
