Meet Dr. Talal Beidas

Dr. Talal Beidas is a distinguished oral and maxillofacial surgeon whose academic achievements and professional dedication set him apart. A native of Houston, he attended St. Thomas High School before enrolling at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned dual degrees and graduated in the top 2% of his class in 2017.
Returning home, Dr. Beidas attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where his passion for excellence in both academics and surgery was evident. Graduating first in his class with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, he was also inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.
Following dental school, Dr. Beidas was accepted into his first-choice residency at Virginia Commonwealth University’s esteemed Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery program in Richmond. His clinical skills and leadership were recognized when he served as chief resident from 2024 to 2025.
Committed to advancing the specialty, Dr. Beidas has been actively engaged in research, particularly exploring innovative uses of 3D printing to improve surgical outcomes. His work has been showcased at national conferences, and he has contributed three textbook chapters to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Secrets, a trusted reference in the field.
Beyond the operating room, Dr. Beidas has shown a deep commitment to service. In 2025, he joined the Medical Mission of Mercy USA on a cleft lip and palate mission to the Philippines, where the team provided life-changing care to more than 60 patients. His outstanding humanitarian contributions earned him one of only two AAOMS Resident Humanitarian Awards given nationwide that year.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Beidas enjoys staying active, traveling, and experiencing the rich culinary landscape of Katy/Cypress. His dedication to surgical excellence, research, and community service makes him a respected and compassionate leader in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
