Meet Dr. David Dadoun

Dr. David Dadoun was born in Montreal, Canada, and raised in New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating magna cum laude from Touro University in New York before receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, he graduated in the top 10% of his class and was honored with the prestigious American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) Dental Implant Award in recognition of his excellence in implant dentistry and oral surgery.

Dr. Dadoun completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he served as Chief Resident from 2025 to 2026. During his training, he developed advanced expertise across the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery while fostering a strong commitment to academic medicine, clinical research, and surgical education. Following residency, he chose to remain in Houston and join Piney Point Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, where he is proud to serve the community he now calls home.

Dr. Dadoun has a special interest in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, including advanced procedures such as TMJ arthroplasty and total joint reconstruction. His additional clinical interests include corrective jaw surgery, full-arch implant rehabilitation, bone grafting, dentoalveolar surgery, office-based anesthesia, pediatric oral surgery, and the surgical management of oral pathology. He incorporates advanced digital treatment planning and state-of-the-art surgical technology to enhance precision, improve safety, and achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Committed to advancing the specialty, Dr. Dadoun has published research in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, contributed chapters to specialty textbooks, and participated extensively in clinical research throughout his training. He is equally dedicated to serving others through humanitarian outreach. During residency, he participated in a cleft lip and palate surgical mission with Smile Bangladesh, providing care to patients with congenital facial differences and reinforcing his commitment to compassionate, high-quality surgical care for those in need.

Dr. Dadoun was drawn to Piney Point Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery because of its commitment to exceptional, patient-centered care, innovative technology, and a culture that values teamwork and family. He is proud to practice alongside colleagues who share his dedication to clinical excellence and compassionate care. Recognizing that oral surgery can be an overwhelming experience, he strives to build trust through honesty, clear communication, and personalized treatment. His goal is for every patient to feel comfortable, well-informed, and confident that they have received the highest standard of surgical care.

Outside the office, Dr. Dadoun enjoys spending time with his wife and children, staying active through fitness, cooking for family and friends, and playing ice hockey—even if finding ice in Texas can sometimes be a challenge.
